The Criminal EP is a 3 month engineering exploration diving further into MIDI production via Ableton Live. Themes explored: psychological isolation via physical displacement, narcissism in the digital age, and the potentiality of genuine relationships with artificial technology in the loneliest of nights. The albumopens with "Say Siri", a live recording of a conversation with Siri in which I forget I am speaking with a phone and emotionally connect to a seemingly empathetic robot. The minimal production heard is in part an attempt at baring a personal vulnerability to the audience through sonic minimalism in production. It also serves as a rejection to the much longer process of my upcoming LP "The Great Escape" due out April 2019.
